Barrows Hall Receives Engineering Excellence Awards

March 2003 - We are proud to announce that our collaboration with Degenkolb Engineers on Barrows Hall Seismic Upgrade, at the University of California, Berkeley, was recognized for design and engineering excellence by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

The project was a national finalist in the ACEC 2003 Engineering Excellence Awards, which seek to honor the finest engineering achievements of the year, based on criteria such as uniqueness and originality; technical, social and economic value; complexity; and success of the project in meeting goals.

In California, the project was also honored by the Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California (CELSOC) with a 2003 Engineering Excellence Honor Award.
