murakami/Nelson recently completed the design of The Niello Company's Land Rover Center in Rocklin, California, just east of Sacramento on I-80. This 12,500 sq. ft. facility design complements the brand image and character of Land Rover products. The center communicates four wheel drive expertise for Land Rover vehicles. The design features rustic landscaping and site materials, mature California Oak trees, dramatically articulated vehicle displays, and a prominent "test track" with a water feature. The center was designed for high freeway visibility on one side and sensitivity to the surrounding neighborhood on the other.

The center's lodge design provides a comfortable environment for vehicle display and sales, a customer lounge, Land Rover Gear display, and office space. The service write up area is a part of the main lodge space with a spacious, covered customer drive up. A large and well lit service garage and parts department are also integrated into the design.
