murakami/Nelson has planned and designed more than 11 million dollars worth of new and rehabilitated intercollegiate athletic facilities at the Berkeley campus. Included in the work are the new I.W. Hellman Tennis Complex, old Harmon Arena, Spieker Aquatics Complex, Edwards Track, Evans Diamond, as well as design contributions to the new Haas Pavilion.

Also designed within the existing shell of California Memorial Stadium were new coaches' and administrative offices, training quarters, equipment rooms, varsity football locker rooms, a weight room, and a "Hall of Fame" room displaying memorabilia representing over one-hundred years of achievement in men's intercollegiate athletics.
