The design concept for the Niello Company's Audi facility in Sacramento, California evolves from the high quality and high performance expected from the Audi brand. This 35,300 sp. ft. facility offers many architectural features unique to the Audi brand.  The hangar type showroom with the sloped exterior glazing and curved metal roof design creates an ideal space to display the vehicles.  These exterior glazed walls which face the main street are made with high performance, energy efficient glazing for maximum visibility and lightness to the building.  The entry vestibule also defines the primary customer entrance at a smaller and contrasting scale.  

The second floor administrative spaces are also arranged with windows overlooking the showroom.  With the service write-up area on the opposite side of the entrance, customers are naturally drawn to the center of the facility, which includes the cafe, retail parts and a customer lounge that provides an openess to the interior spaces.  The exterior and interior design speaks to the open and positive retail environment while prviding interest with the architecture.
